Cutting

Very nice! I especially like the colors of the skull. How grimey and dirty it looks, but yet you've got those soft highlights around the eye sockets. Lovely canvas. I do have a question for you though. When doing a canvas like this do you put gesso or a base coat on it before you start? Or do you just dive straight into it with the paint?
